Conform or Defy

Gasp! It’s that time of the year when you are not sure if you want to invest in those sexy strappy sandals that will show off your perfect pedicure but would have to soon be shelved for at least five months or the fringy boots on the display window of your favorite retail store.

The one that keeps calling your name as you walk by battling indecision and promises to haunt you for a good long time if you don’t buy them to go with that mini skirt for the 60's look. One thing is certain, Summer's end is close by and the time is running out on embracing our 'all white' ensembles. Unless you’re that gal (or dude) who likes to stand out, likes to take a risk, is so certain of your personal style you’re not easily swayed by fashion trends, or just enjoys being free by dissing the unspoken rules of fashion, this may be the last days to get your whites in. On the flip side, cold weather styling is so fun. The booties, the fur, the scarves, the gloves etc. not to mention the excitement of shopping for that new 'robe' jacket. Call me weird but Fall/Winter is actually my favorite time of year.

White is one of those colors that one can hardly look more well put together in one hue from h2t but I opted for a break in the monochrome with a splash of color on the waist. Not very surprising considering I’m in love, with colors that is, Ha! A pair of black heels and a black cross body made for great contrast and a classic look.
